Boy has been visiting
I have been spending all my time hanging out with the boy. We are having a great time together and he's really bonded to me. He will be moving in at some point in January, and he already says he wants this to be his forever home!

Had the boy for the weekend
And it was awesome! Except for the part where I had to do 4 round trip car rides because the social worker wouldn't let him spend Saturday night with me (even though he was only back at his foster home for 10 hours). It was worth every one of the 600 miles I drove this weekend though :)

Weekend Visits
No more visits until Saturday, when I will pick him up in the morning and meet up with his foster dad to drive him back, since he will be in the area in the evening. Sunday I will pick him up in the morning and take him home after dinner.
We are really bonded strongly at this point!

4 visits in 7 days
So far 4 visits in 7 days with one more tomorrow. With it being 150 miles round trip I am putting some miles on the car :)
So far the visits are going awesome, and we REALLY bonded big time over the weekend. Now rockstar is bugging his social worker about when he can come spend the night. I can't wait :)

Poor kid is having a hard time with all of this. Hope to make it better today with some 1:1 time.

Big meeting tomorrow
So we have a big meeting tomorrow at 2:30. There we will decide the transition/visit schedule. Rockstar's social worker wants us to go really really slow (read 1-3 months). My social worker and I want things to go fast, like next weekend fast possibly. Hopefully we can come to some kind of a solution we can all live with.
Ever since meeting him now I want him to move in even more. He's such an awesome kid and just needs some love. The fact he hasn't been in his current foster placement long and doesn't really click with the foster parents there is also my compelling reason to move him faster. That and the fact I can spend all of his winter break from school off work with him and we can have some great bonding time where he has no school and I have no work.
